About us
At Hobsonville Point Kindergarten, we aspire to provide a warm, nurturing “home away from home” where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Our qualified and experienced teachers support tamariki to take the lead in their learning through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Across our three age‑appropriate rooms—Pepe, Teina, and Tuakana—we nurture curiosity, independence, resilience, and confidence, ensuring every child is empowered to grow at their own pace. With thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor environments, nutritious meals prepared onsite, and strong connections to our local community, we create a rich foundation for lifelong learning.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy is guided by Te Whāriki, honouring Aotearoa’s bicultural heritage and embracing inclusive, respectful relationships with children and whānau. We believe in play-based, child-led learning where each child’s interests, identity, and cultural background are recognised and celebrated. As an Enviroschools centre, sustainability and kaitiakitanga are woven into everyday practice, encouraging children to take meaningful action for their environment. We work in partnership with families and our wider community to create a learning culture grounded in respect, belonging, and shared responsibility.
